Moment Factory, the multimedia entertainment studio specialising in the conception and production of immersive environments, is celebrating the opening of two new Astra Lumina night walks. Astra Lumina Gatlinburg is the 15th immersive multimedia experience in the Lumina Enchanted Night Walk Series and the first to land in the United States, while Astra Lumina Los Angeles is the 17th in the series.
Astra Lumina Gatlinburg
Visitors can interact with nature in extraordinary ways through a nocturnal pathway created by projection, lighting, and an original soundscape. The night walk is a unique experience that is seamlessly incorporated into the Great Smoky Mountains and offers themes that are universal and have a wide appeal.
Astra Lumina, which was created to be incorporated into many settings and locales, was adapted for Anakeesta, a family theme park that provides visitors of all ages with a range of outdoor activities. The addition of Astra Lumina enhances the park’s current offerings while also giving it a nighttime identity, extending its hours of operation, and attracting new visitors.
The experience draws a lot of inspiration from the stars, as its name suggests. Visitors are invited to participate in a spectacular event in its storyworld: a visit from the stars. They set out to explore the enigmatic observatory grounds in search of light, cosmic visions, and soundscapes. As the night unfolds, the stars regenerate, rise, and reassemble, shining brighter than ever before in the night sky.
Astra Lumina Los Angeles
Astra Lumina Los Angeles, the 17th immersive multimedia experience in the Lumina Enchanting Night Walk Series and the first in California, was created by Moment Factory and presented by Fever, the live entertainment platform.
The South Coast Botanic Garden is transformed into a storyworld inspired by the stars, with the help of projections, lighting, and an original soundscape. In order to appreciate the beauty of falling stars in all of their forms, visitors go on a trip across the celestial pathway of the garden. As with the Gatlinburg experience, these stars regenerate, rise and reconnect in the sky above as the night goes on, this time in the natural setting of a popular botanic garden.
Again, Astra Lumina gives the garden a nocturnal offering that increases its operational hours and creates additional revenue-generating opportunities.
Astra Lumina’s enchanting storyworld is tailored to fit each of these unique environments
Moment Factory also recently partnered with Arc’teryx, a leading outdoor apparel company, to create a series of immersive events.
