Magic Kingdom‘s first new nighttime parade since 1991 launches soon

Walt Disney World in Florida has set an opening date for the new Disney Starlight nighttime parade coming to Magic Kingdom.

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away debuts at Magic Kingdom on 20 July. It will be the theme park‘s first new nighttime parade since Spectromagic was introduced in 1991.

Brought to life by Disney Live Entertainment, the show features classic and contemporary characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney Pixar films.

It includes floats featuring Pinocchio‘s Blue Fairy, Peter Pan and Wendy, Asha from Wish, the Madrigal family from Encanto, Frozen‘s Elsa, Disney princesses like Aurora, Tiana, Belle and Cinderella, Miguel and Pepita from Coco, and Moana.

The grand finale float stars Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Snow White and Dopey, Rapunzel and Flynn from Tangled, Aladdin and Jasmine, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.

Via the Disney Parks Blog, swirling ribbons of starlight will reveal Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck leading a procession of Disney moments.

As for the parade’s music, Disney Starlight features an original theme. “You’ve got to have great music to have a great experience,” said show director Tara Anderson.

“We need to touch every heart,” she added.
